This year there were more black dresses than recent years; could this be due to the current economic climate? There was a huge range of styles worn by the celebrities to different degrees of success and while some look fabulous in the dresses they wore, others have done better in the past!
Starting with the black clad brigade of which there were several, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz both looked stunning. Both women have “Deep” colouring which means that black is in their colour pallet. The only criticism to make of Penelope Cruz’s dress was the high neck line. It made her shoulders look bigger than they really are.
Kate Winslet and Emma Watson were also wearing black which could be overpowering for their colouring, but they both wore plunging necklines so the black was not too near their faces. Emma’s dress was particularly stunning with the gold detail around the neck line.
